Starting in August of 2006, all Plum Creek children in grades K-5 attend the new on-site Laura Burleson Negley elementary school. The 10 acre campus is located in the heart of the community and affords children the opportunity to safely walk and ride their bikes to school. The state-of-the-art $10.5 million dollar campus includes 42 classrooms, a computer lab, library, gymnasium, wellness clinic, cafetorium and special needs learning space.

Rocking Horse Academy, an accredited school, is dedicated to teaching old-fashioned values tempered with today's educational research. The 16,000 square foot facility spans across 2 acres in the heart of Plum Creek. The school admits children from 6 weeks to 5years for childcare and offers a private school for kindergarten to first grade. Afterschool Program includes children from 5years to 12 years. There are three playgrounds including a playscape, sportsfield, and indoor atrium for children under two. HAYS CISD PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
The district's Performing Arts Center, located in Plum Creek, features a state-of-the-art auditorium that seats nearly 1,000 and facilities for full-scale performances. In addition to student band, choral, dance and theater performances throughout the year, the Performing Arts Center hosts a wide variety of community and regional performances.

NEIGHBORHOOD CHURCH
The Fellowship at Plum Creek is a new church in the area that exists to experience real relationships with God, each other, and our community. The church meets each Sunday at 9:19 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Negley Elementary School (McNaughton at Witte) and in homes for relationships/discussion (LifeGroup) throughout the week. Dress is casual, services contemporary & relevant, and all are welcome.

The Plum Creek neighborhood includes the 18-hole Plum Creek daily fee golf course, as well as 9-hole par-3 executive course. They offer a range of practice options. The Plum Creek HOA owns over 115 acres of open space for the enjoyment of our residents. Included in this total are large community parks, pocket parks, green belts, a 30 acre lake, and several miles of hike and bike trails. It is the goal of the Plum Creek community to provide meaningful open space that includes recreational opportunities for all ages.
